Living and Learning in Health Sciences
Virginia Tech's Health Sciences and Technology Campus in Roanoke, Virginia, is home to the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, the Translational Biology, Medicine, and Health Graduate Program, the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine's Animal Cancer Care and Research Center, and more. Graduate, undergraduate, and medical students, as well as postdoctoral fellows live and learn on the Riverside campus, with services and resources specifically for their needs.

The Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC offers a diverse array of research facilities and instrumentation, including large- and small-bore MRIs and CTs, focused ultrasound, multiple electron and confocal microscopes, ABSL3 laboratory, tissue processing, metabolic kitchen, whole room calorimeters, and 3D and bioprinting. Most services are available to researchers from Virginia Tech and other institutions.
Learning opportunities, including internships and summer learning experiences, are available for high school students, undergraduates, postdoctoral researchers, and others on the Health Sciences and Technology Campus.
In addition, many graduate students who train with us are enrolled in Virginia Tech doctoral degree programs offered through other departments, including, but not limited to:

The library includes several collaborative spaces for biomedical researchers, a 3D printing studio, a data visualization studio, and access to information services and online collections. The library provides workshops, consultations, and other support services to assist with teaching, learning, and research.
Location: Room G111, 4 Riverside Circle
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The library's mostly digital collection contains authoritative medical textbooks and electronic resources, including AccessMedicine, AccessEmergency Medicine, DynaMed, and Pediatric Care Online. The library also has a range of technology and equipment available for borrowing.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
