About the Roanoke Health Sciences and Technology Campus
Virginia Tech Health Sciences and Technology Campus occupies three buildings on Riverside Circle in Roanoke, Virginia. The campus is home to the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, Virginia Tech's Translational Biology, Medicine, and Health Graduate Program, the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicince Animal Cancer Care and Research Center, Virginia Tech's Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory for COVID-19 Testing, and the Virginia Tech Center for Biostatistics and Health Data Science.
Getting Around Campus
The campus offers plentiful free parking and is accessible by the wifi-equipped shuttles to and from the Virginia Tech's main campus in Blacksburg. A free trolley services connects the campus with downtown Roanoke and all of it's shops, restaurants, and services.

The service is available on a first-come, first-served basis (at no cost) to anyone with a valid ID from Virginia Tech, Carilion Clinic, Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, or Radford University Carilion.
During business hours, visitors may park in designated visitor parking places at the entrance to the parking garage at 2 Riverside Circle. Visitors may also park on the 2nd - 6th floors of the parking garage located at 6 Riverside Circle. On nights and weekends, visitors may park anywhere in the 6 Riverside parking garage, as well as the surface lot and parking deck. All parking is free.
The City of Roanoke operates a bus service called the Starline Trolley, which has two stops on the Health Sciences and Technology Campus. The Starline Trolley runs from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. with stops every 10 minutes along its route, which extends into South Roanoke and to Market Square downtown. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., service runs every seven minutes. The last buses leave the Market Building and Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital at 6:50 p.m.
Emergency Alerts
Students, employees, the community, and guests of the Virginia Tech Carilion Health Sciences and Technology campus can sign up for two emergency alert systems and are encouraged to register for both.
VTC Everbridge
The Carilion Clinic Police are the first responders for emergencies on our campus. The department uses the Everbridge emergency notification system to send emergency alerts.
Students, faculty, staff, family members, the community, and campus guests may enroll. Users can set preferences for alerts after creating an account.
VT Alerts
Virginia Tech also maintains its own emergency alert system, which covers events on the Health Sciences and Technology campus. Options are available for students and faculty and vistors and community members.
